What is hopefully the first of many is our very first guest mix from Costelloe a.k.a. Subsignal.

Their fifth release, an EP from the main man himself just hit the decks last week, you can pre-order a copy here as well as from a few other outlets!

'Classic Detroit Techno at its finest given a Chicago twist by Nick Simoncino and Slowburn. Label Boss Costelloe supplied the first two Basic Channel style cuts on the local label under the alias ‘Subsignal’ and has provided here two cuts of classic Detroit. Included on the release is a remix by much talked about producer, Nick Anthony ‘Simoncino’, putting his classic Chicago style signature down alongside Costelloe’s spacey Detroit cuts. Simoncino has racked up an impressive string of releases on top labels such as L.I.E.S., Aesthetic Audio,

December Mix

I've been away for far too long I know, and it's been almost seven months since I last attempted a mix. So here I am, and here you are.. please excuse the not so perfect parts, I'm a bit rusty!

Sorry for the lack of updates folks, I've just moved to the natural home of Beer & Techno, Berlin. Hopefully I'll be sorted with an apartment in the next week or so and I can resume blogging then!

To keep you occupied in the meantime, are a series of mixes by some lad called Gerald. Part one spans the late night vibe which spans into part two with the early morning vibes. Really enjoying it at the moment as the weather here is a scorching 27 degrees (Well, after an Irish winter it feels like scorching!) and it is the perfect sunny day accompaniment. If you happen to be in Berlin on this wonderful day then you can catch A Guy Called Gerald playing the Berghain tonight along with Charanjit Singh and Mobiletti Giradischi. Anyway that's all for now. Last Sunday I made my first appearance DJing in Dublin, it'll probably be my last for a long while as some of you may (or may not) know already that I will be relocating to Berlin in four days time. It was still nice to get one gig in before my departure though and I am definitely looking forward to playing in Fibbers again. Mmmm buckfast. Anyway, here's the set, hope you like it!
