Gone are the days of labels they said. Not. Take a walk into any record shop. Unless you know your labels, you're going to be digging for awhile. These days, if you're attached to a label, that means you share their musical sound, and quality. I have to admit having only began my record collection this year, That I did find myself a little lost digging through all the 001's,2's,43's etc. but the sense develops quickly and now I'd like to mention a couple of small labels that I have been following recently. 
So you may or may not have already heard about Ireland's very own Eye, Six that is, but you may know him better as none other than Roscommon's controversial TD, Luke Ming Flanagan, and the newest addition to the Sparkwood Records family. Who has been exercising his right over the last few months to make amazing music.
So tomorrow is a very exciting day for myself and my friend and former classmate, Daniel Coogan. Our short documentary, 'Sounds of a Tribe' is premiering at the Galway Film Fleadh, in the Way Out West Section. If you so happen to be at a loss for something to do then present yourself at the Town Hall Theatre at 10am and pop in for a look. There's plenty of other docs being shown, including one from another classmate of ours, Kieran McHugh.
