December Mix

I've been away for far too long I know, and it's been almost seven months since I last attempted a mix. So here I am, and here you are.. please excuse the not so perfect parts, I'm a bit rusty!

Sorry for the lack of updates folks, I've just moved to the natural home of Beer & Techno, Berlin. Hopefully I'll be sorted with an apartment in the next week or so and I can resume blogging then!

To keep you occupied in the meantime, are a series of mixes by some lad called Gerald. Part one spans the late night vibe which spans into part two with the early morning vibes. Really enjoying it at the moment as the weather here is a scorching 27 degrees (Well, after an Irish winter it feels like scorching!) and it is the perfect sunny day accompaniment. If you happen to be in Berlin on this wonderful day then you can catch A Guy Called Gerald playing the Berghain tonight along with Charanjit Singh and Mobiletti Giradischi. Anyway that's all for now. Last Sunday I made my first appearance DJing in Dublin, it'll probably be my last for a long while as some of you may (or may not) know already that I will be relocating to Berlin in four days time. It was still nice to get one gig in before my departure though and I am definitely looking forward to playing in Fibbers again. Mmmm buckfast. Anyway, here's the set, hope you like it! [ BEAT THE HOUSE DOWN! Pres. The Ladies Guide to House & Techno. April.6.2013 ]

I help run a once-monthly night in Galway, Beat The House Down. Last Saturday (April 6th) we put on an all girl line-up, featuring Kelly 303, Lisa M. Wright, Myself and Karey Mc Hugh of S2K. The night couldn't have gone any better if i'm honest, I like to think we definitely proved to a few non-believers that there lot of talented female DJs out there too. We even had Galway local, 'Bongo Brian' playing alongside for some of our sets.. which actually sounded a lot better than you might think.
